After many years doing commercial graphic design I got the opportunity to help design a book on wild dogs\/painted wolves. (https:\/\/paintedwolf.org\/the-book\/) I spent months following the wild dogs on foot in Mana Pools, Zimbabwe. It was an extraordinary experience that inspired me to get my basic level safari guiding qualifications in order to get a deeper understanding of the natural world and renewed my ambition to use design for positive change. I then opened a gift shop in Victoria Falls to use as a platform to create awareness, educate and raise funds for conservation through my illustrations which I applied to stationary and fabric products.
